Noodled a pleco

Some day I'll get a video of me grabbing one. But for now, pictures will have to do. They sometimes sit up in the shallows sunning themselves. It seems like they are napping sometimes.

Actually, this first picture is the release. During the capture, you grab them around the base of their tail.

Yep!!! That is the lake by the neighborhood that you lived at. We were fishing behind the church. That lake is busting at the seams with tilapia. When we were there, we caught 26 blue tilapia over two pounds. We threw 10 back, gave away four, and I filleted 12. Want some?

Actually, he's a medium sized one. I've caught them up to 24". I've got pics somewhere.

Wow. I had no idea that lake was so full of goodies.

lol, I just remembered, back in the day, at that lake, when I was really stoned, I chased a huge goose around and caught it. It had the weirdest scream and it nipped at me like crazy. Everyone was like ," Cameron! WTF Dude!?" I was just like, "HE'S MINE!!" Thing was huge..

Thats my favorite way to catch plecos. I like to find them in the burrow and grab hold of the body though, less chance of them getting away or of injuring the fish. I once caught a pair simultainiously... one in each hand. I had the hardest time getting back up with a fish in each hand LOL
