Noodled a pleco

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
We have lots of lakes and an endless supply of idiots to dump plecos in them. Plus, the springs have a pretty steady temp. I think thats why there are so many there.

And I dont know about those other plecs, Zero. I've only seen Rhinos, Sails, and Regs outside. But that would be crazy.

I know this is a bad idea since we're trying to get rid of them in Florida.. or anywhere in US... but i wonder if some of the exotics can survive... Like maybe a chocolate pleco or adonis pleco...

Not knowing what they are . I looked them up and wow the Adonis gets huge.

I have never heard of them being caught.
I would think some of the smaller types of plecos are probably found by those communities built around lakes.
My brother in law lives in one and nice place for cichlids but only common plecos other than gold nugget plecos lol kidding about the gold nuggets.
Those communities can be fantastic but again never heard of any being caught other than the common plecos.

ok why would you realease them after you caught them they're invasive

You might have more plecos than here. I have only seen reg plecos all sizes . Never saw a Rhino nor Sailfin.

they are good eating too.

Have you caught them on hook/line ?

I have never been able to get them to bite . Even with hook an inch from their mouth regardless of bait (mostly use earthworms)
