hes not verey popilar in aus did u no that ?? all you americans and english. etc love him but here we dont really think hes all that great.

i think that it is largly hes fault that he died as he is ONLY the THIRD person TO EVER die from a stingray in asutrlia AS thay are only of the most calm an plased animals in the sea they will only attack when the feal REALLY insucre and frigtened and i think stevev often puched the boundersy which IMO coused hes death (please dnot kill me for saying this )

According to the police statements, Steve didn't even know the ray was there. He was swimming above it when it got him, totally unprovoked. I'm not saying that the ray did anything that was beyond its natural instincts, but it doesn't sound like Steve disturbed the ray at all this time, so I would consider it his fault or the ray's fault, just a terrible coincidence.

I know everyone has their opinions, and they have a right to them....but show a little repect man. (Also try using a spell check program, you'd be surprised on what you'll find)

I would advise speaking for yourself and not the whole of aussy being they are to be giving him a gov funerel i would say he is rather quite loved in oz otherwise they wouldnt care and they would just lay him to rest as most humans are.

the man needs to be respected for what he has done to make aware . i for one respected the guy.

as far as im concerned STEVE put OZ on the map!

I met him at his zoo once, About 2 years ago and had a quick chat about his latest trip to antarctica(i think?). He was so down to earth and bloody hilarious!

When i heard he died, I was hoping it was a mistake. It was a terrible feeling and i didn't even know the guy.

so lucky! i could of only wished i had the chance to meet a man of his nature!

my gut still churns just thinking of it, and now all of the shows that animal planet are showing of him and his family makes it even tougher
