Actualy you should be happy;) Your tarantula probably was tyerd and dehidrated when it first arrived, dint have the energy tomake a agressive response and you though it was tame. Now in full health, it finaly responds how he is supossed to:D

wow LOL, im not SCARED, ill still touch it lol, i just wont pick it up
i know they're harmless, i just don't feel like experiencing the pain

my snapper bites, and hed be even worse, and i WILL pick him up when i have to

its a rose hair tarantula that i got for free, shes about 4in in leg span , and has NEVER gone under her broken plant pot, she WONT hide lol

nice spider.

Hi,dont be scared its a defensive reaction, also you must consider that they are living in a non natural habitat.

Hi,to be honest ,the only living creatures which I have NOT BEEN BITTEN til now ,are tarants so figure it out! The list includes dogs, cats, turtles, fish, snake and birds!

Heh, snappers are fun; I used to have one until he tried biting my dad's finger, but it never gave me a problem.

Nice tarantula; it's probably just being defensive. I mean, just imagine if you were a 4" spider and a big hand is attempting to get you! I'm surprised it hasn't tried flicking it's hairs at you yet; they tend to try that before biting.
