Nopox in freshwater?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Why not use natural controls like plants? You can add Bolbitus, Anubius or Java fern which can all be attached to drift wood or rocks. You could do crypts, val or sag which will all grow in hard water. I have N. Multies and grow anubius and crypts in their tank.

It’s a rift cichlid tank and that’s a good idea but unfortunately plants would just be a buffet for my fish.

It’s a 120 African cichlid tank and I’m running 3 ac70s and a fluval 306. I’m doing 50% WC 3xs a week and cleaning the filters weekly and that’s barely enough and I feed light. I’m open to ideas other than nopox to cut the maintenance down including a different filtration system

Malawi or Tanganika? Tropheus?

All peacocks n haps ( Aulonocara, placidachromis and protomelas) about 15 plus the one Vic and one frontosa that’s about 8”

I would try anubius. I have a hobbyist out here in Washington that keeps it in his Tropheus tanks. I have successfully kept it in tanks with Malawi cichlids before.
