North American Natives are undervalued...

Could have gotten the subforum because all the cichlid and other fish keepers got tired of questions and comments. Or enough native keepers pitched a fit and the last possibility is that a native admirer was involved with the subject choosing of the forums. Either way I am happy. 
All my tanks used to be tropical but one and that one eventually took over all my tanks except for my 10 gallon hex. I have a 38 growout with a 13" channel cat that I raised from 2" (I know, its going into a pond as soon as i get a filter) A 5" brown bullhead, a 6" bluegill, a 1" bluegill and also another 1" longear. My 30 has a 3" longear sunfish, a 3" mirrow carp, a 2" brown bullhead, a 4" longnose gar. In my 4 gallon bioorb I have 4 central mudd minnows. And my 2 gallon with a minnow. As you can see ive kinda gone nuts for native and never really wish to have a large tropical tank, just a large native tank

I comepletely agree with the OP, I have a friend that only gets expensive tropical fish and doesnt even give native a chance because they are quote "Retarded fish that are uninteractive,uncolorful,and not fun to watch even feed" Unquote. It's hard to compete with the colors of a longear sunfish or pumpkinseed imo. i have kept the bluespotted sunfish in community tanks as well, since they only get a couple of inches.
