doubtful as this is not the first sat the US has put up though it is the largest and its payload is not fully known....

This was a direct action against the military drills though with NK who knows...Could have been the switch of toilet paper for Kim to set it off...
 
There will be no war because teh North Koreans do not have the resources to sustain one. This kind of skirmishing usually is a precursor to negotiations over something or the NK governments propaganda efforts on their own people. If they started a war their country would collapse. If ever there was a government that needed to be "regime changed" then North Korea is the one. But I dont think it will happen.
 
Sure it is if it gets off of the launch pad, can actually seperate the 3 stages, has the proper trajectory and guidenance systems to even hit something, ect.

Their missle programs have always been a failure. With the last test firing of the missile the US placed anit missile batteries in Japan both to quell Japan's fears as well as to guard against possible firing at Hawaii or Alaska.

Out of everything with NK their missle program is fairly low on the list of worries unles syou are in SK as NK's short range missiles have been proven to work and hit their targets most of the time...
