Price I can get them for is $AU650 each. aligator gar are $610 and silver aro round abouts $350, I know its a joke hey. So not sure what that transalates to in your currency atm. Can NP be kept in warmer water that would say suit more tropical species such as aros an gar?

One other question, are they as entertaining to watch feed as Doviis? I've never kept doviis either btw but they seem to be big predators with teeth also

Hi....Where I live ( Canada )Northern Pike are in abundance, its not uncommon to catch 20 pounders. And trust me, they'll eat anything, even fish 1/2 their size. Honestly I can't think of anything that would go well with them. What I can tell you is the warmer the water, the faster they'll grow. The record catch for where I live was around 80 lb, but there have been larger "unoficially" caught. Good luck

hey dude, you can keep longnose gar with esox. you can also keep any gar with them, just heat the tank slightly. but if you really wanna do it right, get the pike now, since its a one off thing. and put it in a holding tank. than PLANT THE HELL outta youre tank. than get a few really small panfish, some dace and shiners, and put them in the tank, then put the pike in. hes gonna eventually eat the other fish, but if there is enough colour, it would be alright. stay away from bass, they are too much like cichlids, and would MANGLE a pike. if there is a lot of cove, you should be able to get away with it, if you start off with a small pike. you might even be able to get away with 3 or 4 pike, like was said earlier, although they would definetly eat other fish in there. once he gets larger though, you would be able to get away with smaller fish, like dace and shiners. usually big pike eat, well big food. so long as you increase the size of the food, and not the portions. meaning, only feed it one or 2 fishes at a time for its whole life, as it gets bigger, make those 1 or 2 fishes bigger as well.

i would just go for a muskie or pike there so fun to wacht them eat fish
