Which one? The clownfish?
Also Clowns are the devil and some fish so clown and fish together have to be the devil.

Seriously I bred Clownfish. I've never been bit so much in my life. Jerks. With or without eggs/babies. My first pair too over my entire 120 when they had eggs. 4x2x2 they killed a couple other fish before I was able to get them out to a breeding setup.

That’s so crazy! I had a mated pair of ocellerus peacefully coexisting with other damsels in my old 40gal salt. The 3 green spotted puffs ruled the tank.

When I tried clowns again and got 2 Picasso’s. dropped like $180 on them. Then those didn’t make it. Then of course I tried another pair of clowns Davinci(I think that’s what the 3 banded zig zag are called). Dropped close to $180 again. They were good for 2 months, then suddenly the female snapped and would not rest until she killed the male.im talking biting, chasing, and forcing him to swim flat by the top of the water level. Needless to say I returned the second pair.

They are crazy, but I inderstand the appeal of it’s a mated pair. Although, I never got mine to breed so idk heheh

Lol, thats why you need to make sure its only a pair in the tank and no other fish in it.

You removed the sand bed?
Nope. Just sifted it....although I came home today and someone drained it. The rocks are in a bucket with the filter (these are both in tank water) and the sand is in the drained tank. Not really sure how to proceed. I guess I’ll fill it back up?

Consider what kind of tank you want now, since you have a clean slate, then move from there

has anyone kept SPS in a saltwater nano before?
I have. I had a 12×12×12 custom made tank. I had a skilter for a filter/skimmer, a evil66 par38 light over it 5 3watt cree leds, a reactor run off a mj900 with purigen, a blood shrimp and a purple fire fish a red planet acro and a pink birds nest and some high end zoos. With the lighting advances and better nano skimmers should be no issue at all. You'll have to dose. I just did a standard water bottle wc every 2 days. Mostly to keep up the alk and calc. Other params were fine.
