Not only did I manage to get some Uber Rare Madagascar cichlids , I also picked up on some not so easy to find Tomocichla's. Sold some not so often seen Thorichthys , heard some really interesting talks saw some of the coolest species ( one I have never seen in person before , G pellegrini ) Made new cichlid friends , met Rusty Wessle , see and talk with my old internet pal Pam chin , Got Dr Loiselle to sign my all time favorite cichlid book : The Cichlid Aquarium got to wathc my daughter have fun with the decorating contest had some laughs at the BABES auction ( wish i would ahve stayed longer than i had for that one) got to talk cichlid talk with people from all over the country and hear some of their experiances , and advise , got to share some of my opinions and give advise . Sure the turn out seemed smaller to me while i was there , but on the drive home while talking to my wife I realized jsut how awesoem this years show really was . I have been to shows in the past with more peopel selling frmo their room s , but really alot fo them were selling the same species . I don't think I saw very many people selling the same 5 or 6 species at all ....there was alot of different species being sold . Everyone frmo the CCACD were very cool and friendly , the vendors were great the LFS that had space in the rental room were really nice and helpfull . I could go on and on about this event ....if you ever get the chacne to attend you should ! I wish I could attend ACA 's convention every year but I can only manage it if it's within a 4-5 hour drive .
Thanks again to all at the CCAC and the ACA for putting on a great show
