Not another 'Guess what's in the bag?' thread.... lol

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks Dr.B Dr.B that what I was looking for, so Faranah lap it is.

It's really whatever you would want to call it. It's technically both, but I would call it faranah for clarification on where it's collected from. I'm not sure where the laps labeled just Guinea laps were/are collected from, but almost every variant is caught in Guinea so Guinea is more of an umbrella term.
+1, Dr.B Dr.B i have a question not related to the lap, where do they catch the ansorgii, im doing some research but cant find a catch location on them.

They catch them in Nigeria, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau. As for the exact systems I'm not sure

Enough about your new faranah lap. I and some called it when it was laying inside the bag, lol

How about we get a ratio of a 1 to 1 for the gorgeous ansorgii. :-)

Lol, I finally got my ansorgii and all I do is gush about the lap. My favorite has always been the lap... So you may never get pics of the ansorgii.

Not much change they look the same today. Will try and get some more pics.

DMD123 DMD123 , since your fav. Is the lap, you can always ship me the ansorgii, so i dont keep bothering yoh for pic:D

Dr.B Dr.B thanks for that info. Makes sense about the two different looking Faranah laps cause Ive seen both types you mentioned. Mine has the elongated head but it does not look big and blocky. I think mine looks more like the Guinea lap (If it is not a Guinea lap, lol)

The head shape/structure is going to change with age and size.

Just a clarification NOT purchased as a Nigerian lap but as a Guinea lap. Toyin called it a Faranah (Guinea) lap. Ned who purchases polys from Toyin had them listed as just Guinea laps. So my confusion is what to call it. Is is a Guinea lap or a Faranah lap?

Oops.thought u said nigerian my bad
