I want to see the pics. So should I consider it just a 'common' Guinea lap or is this a Faranah lap? Or just a way to change the name and charge more? lol, conspiracy?

A couple pics. The lap looks like it will darken up especially when it gets on my darker substrate.

It does have a nice elongated head and the finlets are awesome. Very happy with this guy

This was a bad pic with the office light on and a glare but I thought it showed some contrast in the pattern which might just be a pretty cool patterned fish when it darkens

Yes I quoted myself... lol. Just looking for an answer to what I should call my new lap....

Quite a while back I asked Jason at ADC for a pic of Faranah lap and this is what he sent

I dont know if its the dark substrate but these look different than my fish and mine seems more green..

Looking at the variants post, mine looks like a typical Guinea lap

I guess mine is closer to this in look

Well I had 2 Faranah Lap, one was 18" and other was 13"-14".

Thanks Hao Hao for the pics. So I see the darker body coming through slowly on mine and some pattern. But I guess what I expected from a Faranah was a wilder pattern. I thought what was refered to as a Guinea lap was more of the dark green with a milder pattern.
