Dmd - If the opportunity arises. Get a side shot of your Dragon face poly. I finally got a camera click for my male polyterus sp. Faranah (Dabola Type). My most elusive poly. Always hiding head first towards my rock and anubias.

Here's the close up when I got it. Still not settled in and drab. But look at the striation at the lower jaw, elongated head shape, and the dragon face and eyes. :-)

Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 , I will see what I can do. Tonight I do a water change and retreat with parasite meds. So what I might do is get the 25% water change done with the mopani out of the tank and this might allow a better picture. Will try and post that later tonight.

This fish is dark looking with a hint of some crazy patterns in the tail but wont really know until it gets in the 300g and settles in.

Oh wanted to add, I hated the look of the Nat Geo light so I added a couple of regular whites back in and it looks to be a better color balance without the red 'hot spots' on the sand. Hopefully will make for better pictures too.

Awesome DMD. I'm asking to see a side shot of your poly. Judging from the first pics when yours was acclimating. To me, the middle body markings to the tail ed differs from mine. It can separate the possible specie. As for now, from the body middle towards the dragon face head, lol. There is a great resemblance.
 
Mine looks like it has some crazy marking hidden under that dark exterior. The jaw on yours looks a bit thicker but Toyin did comment that the head structure would change on the one I got... will still try for pics tonight
