P's IMO have way too much hype for what u get. i understand getting a cool black or elongatus or whatever it is, but the common rbp are lame, take too long to become brave, dirty eaters, and they nip! i dont want to spend thousands on a setup to not see my fish cuz there wimps, and when i do seee them, there all bitten and look beat up...maybe its just me.. but i say Pirahna's have 100% too much hype!

YEAH ITS JUST YOU.

chances are, he might never be aggressive. it all depends on ur p's personality. if u wait for months or maybe yrs, he might be fond of u and become aggressive. so give it some time or go get another one.

You are way off. RBP's can be very aggressive if given the proper set-up.

Ya just let them adjust to their new home. It takes a while for them to get into the swing of things, It can take months brotha just give it some time.

I had me some RBP's for some years.

When I gave them a large feeder, there fist reaction was: Oh my God, lets get the f#ck out of here!!!!

After a while when they saw that the feeder was no threat to them they got more comfortable with the feeder.

Then the try to move the feeder by biting/pushing him. But when the feeder got scared and start fleeing, that was the sign to the RBP's that the feeder was FOOD and they started chassing him. And when they got a hold on him: feedingfrenzy.

disagree with you...pygo shoal are great. they might be a little skittish when young but when they get use to there tank or get a little mature they are aggressive, one of the members had a finger chasing rb. If a shoal is well fed there would be no fin nips...depends on you if you want to get a serra or pygo but get the fish because his amazing looks then itll be a bonus if hes or the shoal is very aggressive
