Liz- you were asking about Venustus fish--i have an 8 inch male (he is around 3 years old) and he is housed in a 90 gallon with a pleco and Kenyi.. yours looks to be a female (the males get a blue/purple sheen to the cheeks as they sexually mature).. she is rather pretty! here is a link to my flickr page and you can see on the right of my page i have 3 "groups" of photos-- the venustus, pics of the 180 gallon, and the 47 gallon growout tank...

just wanted to show off the male Venustus--he is by far my favorite fish! :D

my favorite african too..here is my male and female and babies...your dog and cat and male venustus are all beauties ...
