For all those people who are genuinely interested in attending the event, why are you not registering????? It is everyone's procrastination that has forced us to change the nature of the event.

If we hit the minimum will the raffle/auction be added back in? Honestly this was one of the motivations to go. My wife and I will still be attending though. The behind the seens at Shed better not get canceled though!

No it will not, For certain reasons the auction of live animals was frowned upon by different groups and we decided it had to go. The behind the scenes at Shedd will go on.

The raffle/auction was put in place as a motivation factor, but the slow response from hobbyists / MFK members is what resulted in these changes. Since the number of registered guests who are serious about attending this event were more Zoo and Aquarium professionals, we shifted gears towards being a professional event. Thus there was no longer a need for the auction.
If we start to get a greater response in hobbyist / MFK member registrations, I will ask the Symposium board of directors if they will reconsider. I see no reason why it couldn't be reinstated, but I offer no promises or guarantees!!

Please indicated you are a MFK member on your registration form along with your MFK user name. I will use this information to push the reinstatement of the raffle/auction.
