For the people asking were to go and how we will be getting into the shedd, an email will be sent out this week with all details if they did not put down an email on the registration form, please pm any questions to csx4236 and he will send the info.

Hi Mike….can you put up a post saying that anyone attending the Symposium who did not receive an email with directions should contact Lisa Ross at lutsoc@cox.net..

OK, Never been to Chicago before. What is the best way to get from O'Hare to the Holiday Inn? Taxi, Subway, bus? I'm coming in late at night Wednesday and want to know if the subway is a good idea.

For me first time ever to chicago flying tommorrow looking forward meeting you all totall trip will be arround 16 hours. Glad I'm arriving earlie. I know their is a shuttle driving to the hotel but how to get their I really don't know.
Regards
Frank

Best bet from the airport is getting a taxi. Holiday Inn's website says it's 17 miles and roughly $36 one way. My understanding is the nearest train station to the hotel is about 1/4 mile away.

This should be the link to the hotel's map. From the hotel to Shedd Aq is quick and easy - go South on Canal St, and East on Roosevelt Rd.

Yeah, I'll probably spring for a taxi. 36.00 is nothing compared to getting mugged on the subway late at night.

zoodiver, are you coming? there was 2 empty spots a day or so ago?

I'll be there late Wed night. I'm bringing a crew of old aquarists as well, but not all got into the Symposium - so they're just going to check out the animal facilities in town during the day.
I think all the slots are full again.
