Now this is a diy stand

I'm going to make a stand that measures the weight of the tank and adds water accordingly. Or maybe adds loaches accordingly.
 
I am surprised as well... I have a stand that I have to remove a large piece of the front to get to the sump and do work... if I had one that moved with a touch of a button, that would rock... I might just do it for the conversation of it...
 
if i had this i would use it as a dramatic way to show off my fish to people who have never been over my house before
 
There is one little problem with this stand.....and thats when the stand opens up it shows off the most dull looking filter I have even seen.

You cant build a stand that opens up like this and only have that ugly type of filter to show off.

Thats got to be the most boreing filter in the world...

Wheres the in-filter lighting?
Wheres the spinning things?, the twirling things?
Wheres the disco ball?

And, where is the subwoofer blasting out the theme to the movie 2001 a Space Odyssey?
 
for the first second there I thought it had a tv in it as well. 1 too many episodes of pimp my ride I guess.

that is pretty cool though. With all the toys around I am thinking that how he keeps the kids out of it.
 
Say you need to get to a net quick but it is in your stand. You have to wait for it to open to get the net then wait for it to close in order to see what fish you are scoopng. Major inconvience and potenial fish loss.
