Now this is a dovii

It was probably the most impressive thing I've seen in fishkeeping. We were just standing around talking and he was trying to hit us from all sides. You could hear the "pop" of his jaws. And don't forget the female, she took some good hits at us too.

He (and the female) have both managed to jump out of the tank trying to attack Mel when he goes to remove fry.

i have to say they are awesome fish my female is on her own and she goes ballistic just walking in front of the tank, but i have to get rid of her i can only keep so many fish but i still have my male and he is starting to get really aggro cant wait for him to be tha size

Thanks for posting these pics. I have seen this male/pair before on aquamojo, its very impressive. I must also say that this is how, I think, a Dovii pair deserves to be kept.

I agree with the oscarguy: a 600 gallon tank is the way for a couple of dovii.
