Now this is a dovii

He has 5 (got 6 one died in shipping), 4 are about 3" and one male which I didn't get to see as it hid the whole time is about twice that. He's keeping them solo as the came in from Canada with lymph sadly. Two of the three are still showing signs, it's gone into remission on three.

Care is just like most other CA's, from what I understand they're quite hardy. Clean water and lots of food.

Mel stated they look and act a lot like A. festae, wouldn't surprise me if the two species end up in the same genera.
 
i kind of feel bad for the ornatum, they are about to be put inbetween two pairs of some of the meanest cichlids on earth
 
He got the ornatum from Oliver............right?

Very nice!!!!!!! What thickness are your acrylic lids and do you weigh them
down to keep the dovi's from jumping out?????

Yes, they came from Oliver at Below Water through Kevin at A Place For Pets in our area.

Mel's lids are probably 3/8" acrylic, and they are weighted down.

the size difference between the dovii is crazy, incredibly amazing fish
