number 1 aggressive fish?

Wow i m surprised I haven't seen any mention of SA wolf fish here. Mine is by far the meanest, most aggro fish I've seen in real life. Any new tank mate, if he can get his teeth around part of it its his prize until it struggles free. He jumps when I put food in, he jumps when I do WC, he goes after my hand if my fingers aren't pressed together. As far as I've heard, snakeheads show about the same aggression and behavior of at least the smaller wolves, mine is a Rainbow Hi Fin. He's bitten me a couple times, ive had him for less then 6 months.

BUT there is a member on here who was keeping a giant snakehead and a common (malabarcius) wolf fish together. The wolf was smaller then the snakehead and the wolf killed it. If I recall correctly snakehead was 15 inch and Mala was 12 inch. I don't think snakeheads deserve the vicious rep they have, there was so much hysteria from when they were first found in the US I think it still lingers. Now if wolf fish established themselves, I think we would have A LOT more to worry about

At one point, the wolfish was established in Florida few years ago but the cold snap wiped out the entire population of wolfish and the snakeheads survived.

Oh really? What kind? That's crazy, I'm not surprised though snakeheads inhabit more northerly regions then wolves

This video shows some FEEDER juvenile giant snakeheads during feeding:

NOTE: View at Youtube only if you are VERY SURE that you do not find fish aggression very 'disturbing'.

Looks aggressive but I still think that piranhas are most aggressive (I do not have them, just based on the videos that I have seen).

from what i've heard about them and having never observed a successful tankmate with them african lungfish should have a spot here

According to me ,snakeheads aggression is far less in juvenile stage.no doubt dey eat lik pigs but still not much territorial agression towards tankmates......I hav owned albino striata, channa striata, channa marulius, channa micropeltes, channa punctata, channa diplo..........
N I hav observd that in their juvenile stage they aggressively feed.....they don't show much teritorial aggression.
But it gets far aggressive when it reaches adulthood....
U can't add any other fishes in its tank. Also it depends upon individual...
Of all d fish I hav owned, albino striata was d most aggressive. after
Micros
Marulius
Diplo
Striped striata.....
