As I recall - aren't the "Nurse sharks" of Australia known as Grey Nurses - which would be the same animal that we in the southeastern U.S. call Sand Tigers. Our(American) Nurse Sharks (Ginglymostoma cirratum) aren't found in Australia or the Indo-pacific area. The closest related shark to our Nurse that is found near Australia is the Tawny Nurse (Nebrius ferrugineus), which is a slightly larger species.

I have a nurse shark. Personally I plain to keep with the growth of mine, Plus the other 4 sharks I have. It depends on the person that has the shark. Right now I have five sharks in a 300gal plaining to go to a 700 gal soon an after are house is done going to a 7000gal, but I knew what I was getting into when I bought mine. Just like my buddy with his three black tip reefs. He knew that he would have to go bigger when they got bigger. Knowlege is key when buying a shark.
Wow - 5 sharks in a 300 gallon tank - hope they're all small. BTW - hope you have plans for a tank/pool/lagoon bigger than 7,000 gallons for the Nurse, as it will eventually need a pool/lagoon by it's self that is at least 3 times that size. I Agree that knowledge is an important key when buying sharks. But it's just the tip of the iceberg of what is needed to keep sharks, for their entire life time.
Note - I'm not saying that Nurse Sharks can't or shouldn't be kept by private shark aquarists - because clearly they can and have been kept successfully by private aquarists. I'm just saying that it takes a certain "breed" of private shark aquarist - to be successful long term with Nurses.

7000g for shark that become 10 foot? what would the size be of this?
will this be enough for ya 4 other sharks also what oher sharks do u have?
am myself looking for some catsharks and bamboos that don't get bigger then a metre so can have a few in a 5 metra dia pool
but gonna get a growout tank of 8x3.5ft2ft soon i hope lol got the time

Yeah - considering that a 300 gallon is basically 8'x 2.5'x 2'. So if you have 5 sharks that are more than 15-18" each, then the tank is overcrowded. But then 5 sharks in a 300 gallon tank sounds like it's a recipe for overcrowding & filtration overload.
Personally I think that a 300 gallon is too small to keep a small juvie Nurse shark for even it's 1st year of life. Personally I would suggest at least a 450-500 gallon tank is needed to keep a Nurse in until it's 2 ft long.
