Dont know about epsom salt as we dont have that here in sweden at all. But when i use salt in my tanks and change water i put in the same amount im taking out.

I had a severum do the same thing. It was hexamita (hole in the head) and he got bloated plus crap growing on him. I used metro first gave him a rest and then kanaplex. I had him in a hospital tank so i didnt have to use so much medicine. Luckily i have a guppy tank that stays cycled.
Dont over do the meds and epson salt. One thing at a time and then wait a day.
Only bad things happen fast with aquariums and sick fish.
Remember the doctors motto “do no harm”
Meds are hard on the fish so let them rest between doses.
Mine wasn’t completely better but input him back in the big tank because he wouldn’t eat in hospital tank. He finished his recovery and is fine now. I feed him more veggies now and keep a lighter stock and cleaner tank.

I just followed the directions on the medicine. It was Seachem brand. I got it from Amazon. If possible fishkeepers should keep a supply of common meds because it is hard to find these meds at local fish store.
I don't know how to post on here but can someone tell me why my flowerhorn looks like this, I've never seen such a thing he's honory I had to put him in a different tank as my other guy was picking on him but he's eating and honory idk?
Picking on him? You mean beating him half to death? He is really beat up. How long have you had them together before seperating them?
No he was getting like that way before I put them together can you see that his find are different colors also. I've had flowerhorns I've made mistakes I've tried all kinds of trial and error honestly there's not a lot you can tell me about these fish. However this has me stumped this fish has a good appetite is eating well and picks on anything he can when he can , I put my bigger fh in with him about a week ago but his coloring was like that before!
Is this a fader? I just look I've treated white poop disease by injecting med into stomach and nursing back to health these fish are my buddies I just can't figure this fish out! Please help!
Maybe best to start your own thread Jamie. And sorry not trying to be rude but if there's not much anyone can tell you about FH's why are you even putting them with other fish? Imo this (stress) is the root of your problems as stated. Fact is 99.99% of the time a FH will do best and much less chance for problems if you put them in a solo tank by themselves. Good luck and hope he recovers in near future.
