Nylons/pantyhose has filter bags?

I'm using them now in my canister filter. Seems to be OK

I have used them over my filter intake so fry wouldn't get sucked up. Slowed the flow down a bit but it did what I needed it to do.

Next time, cut a hole in a whiffle ball the same size as your existing strainer. Pull the stocking around the whiffle ball, slide the whiffle ball onto the inlet strainer, and fasten the opening of the hose to the lift pipe with a zip tie. Now, your filter shouldn't strain since the slots in the whiffle ball will add up to more surface area than your strainer.

i use them all the time, never had a problem and if there is a hole i just go to the dresser and get another one

So far they work great.I just hope my wife never looks in the filter.
