just wondering if the kid wasnt old enough to know better, then who was supose to be watching over him???

You falied to mention that your kid is 18!

well my son is 3 years old and he did all that devistaion by dragging the chair from one side of the livingroom to another untill his mission was complet. i have told him multiple times not to be putting things in the tank and i guess he just doesnt listen (shocker being a 3 year old lol). my wife was in the bedroom when all this happened and must of not herd or seen him doing it or so she said. but right now thngs a slowly getting back to normal my fish are a little freaked out since i had to drain almost all the water out to get rid of the lime stone limeing (cant think of another way to put it lol) in the water. my plants are for the most part finished i have to restock with new ones this weekend. my baby oscar is still alive even though he is missing an eye. i just feel bad hopfully he pulls through. if he does im gonna get him a 75g just for him:)

Just a little while ago, I was taking some pictures of my fish.. and as I was standing there, my son (2) got up on the couch and moved the lid to my AC110.. I simple told him, in a stern voice, "you don't touch my stuff, you'll be going to the naughty mat next time! Do you understand?" and he looked really sad and said, " yes mama"... so hopefully he'll get it.. he's never done it before.. lets hope it's the last..

I thought of this exact thread when he did it...

GL with your tank, and your son..

Time for some discipline 3 years or not. Kids have to learn the sooner the better they need to respect what is not theirs. He would not be going to the circus as someone stated. My daughter knew not to touch my guitars or fish tanks and teddy bears and dollies were hers since before she started to walk. Go easy on him but he needs to learn NO. As for the tank I would do a 50% water change take all the stuuf that doesn't belong there and continue with 50% daily until the promblem eradicates.

gotta love kids! reminded me of this video..i mean seriously, what can you do? nothin but love them anyways
