How should I feed them?

I still have the nightcrawlers in that tub it comes in, and they're living on that soil/compost looking stuff. Do I just throw in the tilapia in there?

To be honest i doubt very much they will touch tilapia. worms are a very nutritious food anyway, full of protein, i wouldnt worry about it, now they are feeding they will soon be taking anything you throw at them :)

agreed ^^^^ . useally people will just throw in the container whatever they want them to eat but this can get messy and smelly, you could just throw in there a hand full of top quality pellets and they may consume them , crush them up and sprinkle into the soil for best results . but as stated they are prety good as is.

it would not be ideal obviously , as a varied diet ensures they get all the nutrition they need as diferant nutrition will be found in diferant foods. i would not be too happy feeding the nightcrawlers on a perminant diet as a staple , but they will certainly be fine wile you get the fish used to diferant things. i have yet to meet a fish that would not eventually accept at least a basic selection of food. but some do really test your patiance. and you will need to use allsorts of tricks to get them to accept it.

cheers col

W'sup bro! go with the night crawlers, rinse them off & toss'em in, he'll love'em. Tadpoles, maybe mealies, maybe not. You may want to start raising convict cichlids, or some form of gouramy sp.Goodluck bro!! why not post a pic too.
