I brought up an issue with idiots on the board. I'm pretty sure I'm allowed to do that. I'm sure a lot of people have been chased away by the method some people use.

You can do that but again this is a public forum so you'll have to deal with us idiots. If you wish to design an idiot proof board where members can choose two responses to your thread "awesome" and "buy some more fish" feel free to do that as well. I'm sure it'll go great and you'll get great knowledge gained.

Oddball, I don't care what fish you're putting in what tanks because you don't announce it like a teenage school girl, get mad when people tell you the tank is too small because they weren't the great responses you were looking for.

Beyond this the poster and his friend are the only ones flaming by calling people who don't agree with them "idiots".

For everyone who thinks people here are rude and crude this forum is still way easier on people who don't have a large enough tank than alot of forums. I can name a few of them that would have gave you much worse lashings with no relief from mods.

:nilly: cant everyone just get along

on a serious note. why do some of you guys judge posters on their post count? i have like 263, does this mean im a noob, HELL no, it doesnt, im almost 21, and i dont claim to know everything, but i do know a lot about the fish that i keep. i just think its stupid to judge people on there post count. phew i feel better :D

it is correct to bring up these points in peoples threads as not everyone will know how big things get or how quick they get big so letting people know these things is fine.
as for the whole i will update my tank later issue not everyone just say's this quite a few people do upgrade.
the problem is when some people post a reply they are just downright rude about it, now i for one would ignore these people and prefer to learn from the people who are civil and respectfully.
if someone ignores what you say when being civil there is no way they are going to consider what you are saying when you slag them off on a public forum.
yes some people never listen but most people do, keep the replies respectfully and we will have no need to delete them and contrary to some peoples beliefs we don't just go around banning people for no reason only if they deserve it.

I don't think post count was brought up. Which you shouldn't and I don't judge by.

You're right, alot of people do upgrade.

My main problem here is the fact that he purely doesn't like responses saying he's going to need an upgrade and seems to think these people are idiots. If I have 10 pygos in a 55gallon and someone tells me I need an upgrade, I say "yeah I know getting one in x amount of months/days" and I only make that post once. Not 3 dovii today, a couple umbies tommorrow, etc.

Hmmm...wonder why someone would think of a teenage school girl when referring to me? Now I'm nervous.

:iagree: It's like at work when I have a customer who doesn't want to listen or tries to argue with me. I let them be entitled to their opinion and then move onto someone who really wants help and wants to listen to what I have to say.
