i have a three inch ocell tht has this goinig on, black lips black tail and dark grey/blotches on body ......so this isnt a disease?

I've bought something before that claims to bring out the kok & colors for my flowerhorn.
My friend said it'll turn my fh black but I still tried it, because I wanted a nice kok, and sure enough my fh turned black.
Lesson learned, So now I watch what I buy and I ask around if it works or not.
