Pike Characin? Are we talking odoe here?
They stick with the African theme although I'm not an expert on the water parameters for rift lakes. It's a risk but I've seen mixed male tropheus do pretty well in communitys in the past. Bgk is gonna be at risk from any cichlid unless larger imo.
What's your opinion on it pal?

I believe it is the South American Spotted Pike (Boulengerella maculata)

I wouldn't recommend them with this mix personally. The OP is looking for one cichlid to add to an already pretty full tank, and to properly do tropheus you would need a good number of them. And a group of tropheus would be likely antagonize the BGK and pike characin (maculatus or SA pike is what I believe we are talking about).
