DarthV & Darthodo = two of the best Odo's in the hobby right now. I wish I kept mine.

These pics were taken today.

This Trimac male is sooo amazing. I think my male was also taken from Ken, though he is younger than yours -- but he isn't as thick as your male. Maybe because mine is with a female!?

And that Odo is nice too :)

Thanks for all the nice comments. I had purchased odos from a couple of different folks and tried to raise them with other fish, until I learned about how stress can effect them so badly. I finally got this one from TUIC as a 4" sexed male back in Feb of 07. He was really sick for a long time right out of the bag from stress. He had bloat and had that stringy white poop that we generally regard as being from Hexamita. He didn't eat for weeks as I tried to save him with waterchanges, metronidazole, 86F heat, and epsom salts. I was all about trying to kill back the Hexamita while cleaning out his digestional tract. After a long while he started eating a little, then a little more, then more, until he eats like he does now. He is a ferocious eating machine, and water is gonna come out of the tank if you feed him floating pellets, always. I don't feed him as much as he will eat, but he gets enough I think. Surely if you get one to get 12" or more you will have a fine "wet pet". The reason I wanted an odo was because I wanted a different "big cichlid" than what most people had. Now I have a fun collection of large CA cichlids and they all have different, but great personalities.

Thanks. The trimac is my moodiest fish. The only thing that is consistent is his need to bang the glass in his attempt to get my hand.
