Odor Question

Is there anything i can do about odors coming from the tank? I have a glade plugin and some febreze lol. I also have this stuff thats supposed to clear up cloudy water and eliminate odors but it only works for a day or two... Any suggestions?

Febreeze is bad to use around tanks, it tends to gum up and clog fliters

Make sure your tank is fully cycled! What are your water parameters? What kind of filters do you use? When is the last time you changed/cleaned them? Do you use carbon? HOB filters will smell when dirty, but canisters don't (until you open them!).

If you don't change you water it gets "old" and will tend to smell "fishy" but if water is clean it will not smell. It's like natures way of saying hey change me.

i just did a 25% 30 min ago. I have an aquatech 30-60 and a cascade 300 running side by side. I ran out of test strips so i cant tell you much else... And im not spraying febreze on the tank im spraying it on the ground around it

API master test kit They run about $35 from most LFS or $20+shipping through internet. MUCH better way to test water.
