Offical 2010 NFL Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well the browns i think are finally going to be a threat in the yrs to come. they have a great oline a beast for a running back and colt is playing decent for a rookie. lets see if he keeps on improving or hits the imperviable wall and levels off. that the key for there team to be 8-8 next yr or a solid playoff team.

AFC

1 steelers have a great chance if ben can get back to playing ben football. they have a great d but now its up to the broken oline to protect ben.

2. colts yes they have lost 3 and didnt win pretty against cinci today but peyton is peyton. enough said

3. pats defense will have to improve. if that happens then everyone knows what tom brady can do.

NFC

1.new york giants, i thought they were playing better then anyone in the league as of this week just to self destruct against dallas so far in the game. if the giants can play like they have been for the last 4 weeks then there a team to be dealt with. ill chalk this one up to thinking dallas was going to lay down and quit agian. this week being a fluke

2. new orleans saints, they have had a couple hicups alone the way but i think they will get turned around.

3. philidelphia eagles they just simply are playing very good football and if vick is turning into a top 7 qb then they can go along way.

4. green bay packers, at the beginning of the year i would of had them on top of the nfc but after playing very inconsistantly there my last team to make it in the nfc

now the teams that your probably wondering why i havent mentioned but here you go. falcons 7-2 ravens 6-3 jets 7-2 if history repeats itself it says that you need a very good qb to win a sb.

very good to me is a top 7 qb and as mentioned above vick is not atm but is looking to become one. eli i dont think is either but has won a sb already so he gets a free pass and thats why i have him and the giants there.

joe flacco, mark sanchez, matt ryan are average and inconsistant quarterbacks and even with good defense (jets) (ravens) i do not think you can win a sb with the qbs that you have.

thats my take on the nfl after midway through. there you have it folks one of those teams will win the superbowl.

You may want to check your history. Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Brad Johnson, Doug Williams, Jim McMahon, Jeff Hostetler and even your mention of Eli Manning show you do not need a "top 7 qb" to win a Superbowl. We won't even get into the long list of trash QBs that have just gotten to a Superbowl. Look a little deeper at the careers of Bradshaw, Aikman, Monatana, and Brady before they won their first Superbowl, at that point not much different then those of Flacco, Ryan or even sanchez.

Moss Who?

It was the Dolphins that got the redemption at Home :headbang2

Let the Dolphin bashing begin:grinno:

I'll Start, the running game sucks. Don't understand why it is so feeble this season compared to last. Tough schedule to start the season, thought they would have been one game better then they are at this point. Not sure what the QB situation is now either.

i am talking about recent history. the game has changed. it is a quarterbacks league.

ya but i think they have a good coaching staff that will get them turned around in a couple yrs.

:duh: first you say you mean recent history(how recent?) Then you post a complete list of all the superbowls.

Doesn't matter, any way you look at it. You do not need a stud QB to win a superbowl. History HAS more then proven that.

Nice game Broncos!

It was good to see a balanced game with actual decent rushing today. And, they held the top rushing team in the NFL to 51 rushing yards. Today was finally a breath of fresh air. The AFC West is still within their grasp.
