I don't even know how to quote that, so I'll just shoot from the hip. Let me clarify and rephrase the playoff comment.....past the 1st round. :nutkick: I can't remember half of what was in your last post, but basically.......

It will be an awesome series. I FEEL home court will hold water. You're pointing out LA has 2 guys that have been to the finals, so they should be better....Boston has 2 as well. Though coming off the bench, that's 2 seniors I'd want to have on any team. You can't put the 3's desire aside. They want this bad, they've made that very clear. And I know you can't put Kobe aside either, because he's incredible. Boston has a good bench as well, for various reasons. The kicker will be how they're used. House HAS TO get minutes in this series. He's caffiene off the bench, and I don't feel he's been used enough. Posey must get a lot of time as well, HE is the defender in question. The only problem there, is the people he replaces. I really think he should share time with Rondo, too, running Pierce at point, with Allen, Posey, Garnett, and Perkins. Perkins must stay out of foul trouble. Powe needs more time, while Davis needs less. For LA, their 3's have to go in. Odom has to be a role player, picking up boards, points, and drawing fouls. We can predict and opionionate all we want, but we're not on the floor. So we'll see how it goes.

I will agree with 99% of that:D

Cassell has 2 fyi. The 81 points is just a bogus comment.....You're right, let's just bench everyone else and play Kobe and Fisher 48 each. They don't need anyone else. :screwy:

It's cool, and I totally agree, I was just poking fun at Scuba. :D

Kobe and Fischer can both put up 50 points, but we need Odom and Gasol to step up as well. What I think will be the deciding factor in this series in the Lakers bench. Turiaf, Vujacic, and Farmar will decide the series with the level of their play.

Fisher.....50.....no. The rest, yes. Vujacic and Radmonovic's 3's have to go down, because I think Allen is clicking now. Odom and Gasol have to get Perkins in foul trouble. He picks up loose balls and offensive rebounds, not to mention just the overall game he had when he wasn't in foul trouble. If and when he does get in trouble, Powe, Brown, and especially Davis have to step it up. Same goes for Odom/Gasol. If they get in trouble, Turiaf's gotta be big. However, I hope they just let them play (with the exception of the obvious). All these nitpicky, crap, INCONSISTENT fouls they've been calling are rediculous. It will be an interesting series.

Something's up with that, because I just checked and there were 59.........but only 49 in the entire lounge.....

I know I saw 83 right after I posted that, and there were only 60 ppl including 35 guests in the lounge. I think the mods are counted in the number viewing but most of the time are invisible under their mod cloaks...:D And its all in good fun and sports talk man, good to see we all have good senses of humor.;)

The odds are against him to put up 50, but I believe the high for his career is 44. I agree with you on the nitpicky fouls, and they have been very inconsistent.

wow, lot's of good points were made. A little heat, but that's settled down. Can't you guys control yourselves when I'm not here? lol

here's how i see it...
this is going to be an awesome series. much better than that awful spurs-cavs we had to choke down last year. One one hand, we have the king of clutch, the (arguably) next michael jordan (I don't care how much kobe tried to down play that in the interview, he was LOVING it). A man who can put up 30 points without even trying, and 40+ if you let him. Accompanying him is a 7'1" monster center who can shoot the ball like a guard and move like a forward, as well as a superb forward who loves to fit himself in as the third scoring/leading rebounder and will be the second option if the situation calls for it. There is an entire supporting cast behind these figures who are sure to fill in all the gaps they may leave behind.
On the other hand we have an older team, yet one laden with talent. These are players who their entire lives have dominated the court, putting up consistently high numbers and leading their teams in virtually all statistics. However, they have never laid their hands on the big prize. Despite their talent, they have been denied a supporting cast good enough to propel them past mediocrity. The truth is becoming frighteningly clear to them: we are good, but we NEED to win a championship lest we go down in history as goods, but not greats. So they have come together. Wise in years, but rookies in playoff experience. What they have most valuable to them is not their talent, but their unselfishness driven by a need to win. This has been their recipe for success during the regular season.

So what does it come down to? For the lakers, they must use their young talent and playoff experience to the max. For the celtics, their desire to win must overcome and master their three biggest foes: inexperience, fear, and kobe bryant.

Whoever uses what they have to the fullest, and is best able to overcome their weaknesses will take the championship. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it...

You said it great, and very unbiasedly... Who are you taking to win and in how many?

I am rooting for the celtics. I am a bit biased in wanting the big 3 to have a ring, but i am not underestimating kobe. The man knows how to play, and we all know he will take control of the game if his team starts losing focus. If all teams play to THE VERY BEST of their abilities...I'd say maybe boston in 7. Still, that is a very very big maybe. If any of the big 3 are off their game, or rondo completely fails to play kobe, then LA is taking it. AAAAAARGHHH, IT'S GONNA BE AN AWESOME SERIES!!!!!!!!!! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

I think LA wins because of bench...

I love how everyone talks about "The Big 3":screwy:

Do Kobe, Odom, and Gasol not put up better numbers so far in the playoffs???

you've been absolutely correct in everything so far. There are just too many variables that can affect the outcome of the series. I love this series because it's not an underdog story like the superbowl...it's gonna be a true clash of the titans!!!

well, at least I hope it will be :nilly:
