How is the winning team going to score a single point to break the 48 to 48 tie?

It was a fantastic trade for the Lions. Here's why:

1. Roy is a free agent at the end of the year, and has expressed that he wants to leave.

2. To keep him we would have to franchise him, paying him like a top 5 receiver, when he is not that.

3. We have Calvin Johnson, when you draft a receiver at #2, your kind of committed to him, so now we would have to sign both of them, and would be spending like 40% of our cap on 2 players at the same posistion.

4. While it's true that Roy was one of our very goo talents, he happens to be one of the very few talents we have, so more draft picksis the only way to get talent at other much needed posistions.

5. Moss was traded for a 4th round pick.

6. I think we are now the only team with 2 first round picks, and with the first 2cd round pick, that means we could theoretically get 3 of the top 35 players in the draft.

7. And most importantly, this makes our GM spot more appealing to canidates because now they have the opportunity to come in and basically add 8-10 players of their choosing immediately to our team.

The Lions are going to draft 9 wide receivers. Four of them will be suspended due to the drug policy. Three of them will have potential, but it will not manifest itself. Two will be total busts and won't make the roster.

It's the incredulous Vikings roller coaster. Special teams has given up 2 TDS

yep, i was right.. even the tv network got bored with the game and put the SF/Giants game on instead.. lol.

first time i've been able to watch the baby 49ers in action.. they have the raw materials to come back and be great again. looks like their special teams know what they are supposed to do. defense is ok, not as good as they once were, but they did pretty good holding the Giants back until the 4th quarter.

i'm not sure what O'Sullivan needs worse, a swift kick in the pants or some kind of confidence inducing drug, he looks and acts scared when he has the ball in his hands. He's either going to be really really good or he's gonna be a laughing stock.

i'm in here checking out the forum and talking to no one because i just can't get interested in the Jets/Raiders game.. i've sat down and tried to watch but i just can't get into it.
