Lakers were all sad and gave up after mavs got within 1. WHere was Kobe? Where do lakers go from here? This year anyone can win

As for next year, I believe Artest, Barnes and Fluke Walton for crying out loud need to pack. Our bench was the biggest obstacle this Season. Give any all star a breather and less pressure and they will do what they do best. It's like getting your 2nd wind in the race to the finish. Our bench was Outscored by about 26-27 points, that's awful! Odom has earned a role as a starter in my eyes and we need some bench players not bench warmers. I like the kid they picked up in the last game of the season... Trey Johnson as a "potential" player from the D-League in Bakersfield CA

Don't think they will change much.
With Shaw coming in, I think the line up is still championship caliber. If Shaw does horrible after the first season, then there might be some bigger changes.
But they are not going to rebuild as long as Kobe is there. I am sure Kobe would retired before the Lakers become a non-competitive team.

yeah that's basically who i think Lakers can rebuid with..Gasol is an allstar better get someone for him now while he still has value I'd rather get a defensive minded PF who can rebound so Bynum and odom can get more touches and the lack of heart by gasol is disturbing, sometimes you have to point the finger at yourself, pao hasn't done that in this series even though dirk's been eating him alive and he's playing GASOFT..Lakers made all the right plays to get him going, but he couldn't..
reward bynum and odom for their post season efforts by making them get the ball more...Kobe isn't his dominant self anymore, time to look for more weapons
All the NBA teams have seen the blueprint of how to beat the Lakers time for the Lakers to make changes, with the entry of a new coach what better time..
