that is a legit point...I would contend some years the champion (BAMA)didn't deserve to be in the game for the fact that they didn't even win their own division,, THEY WERE a fine team and obviously won the game..however winning one game does not make a champion,, and that is 1 of the reasons that there needs to be a playoff with equal representation among conferences,, MY CONTENTION BEING the SEC is good , some years great, but when you have a team in the championship game every year , mostly based on the conference being good the PREVIOUS year(winning bcs.. the sec, as good as they are schedules crappy non-conference games , so we don't really know how they stack up) you are obviously going to win more championships than conferences that aren't represented...it is my contention that given an 8 team playoff with every major conference represented , the sec will win many ...maybe even most.. but to put them in the 2 team playoff every year is just appeasing "the base "(the south is where the fans are , comparatively speaking... if you put an sec team in the game it equals better tv ratings .. hence the media driven (and some if not most actually believe their own b.s.) sec bias.. the 4 team playoff imo is just whipped cream on doo-doo, same ol' crap x2, especially with a "selection committee"
