Lol. That was an obvious trolling Lee post that I call a walk off field goal as time expires. I hit the shower and and was doing the post game conference while Lee was still on the field fuming lmao

Lol, if that's all that bothered you then I failed.

Idk why but I like Columbus. I think its cuz the state of Ohio doesn't have much to be proud of. Thee Ohio state is their crown jewel. Plus I appreciate how they finished that season last year without losing focus knowing they weren't bowl eligible. They deserve more respect for what they've done then what they're getting. I'm impressed. That's my 2 cents

the NFL DIDN'T HAVE REVENUE sharing back in the 60's and 70's .. that came in the 80's...they built the league , much to tv's dismay by sticking to the formula,,, the fans used to complain EVERY year that the super bowl was a letdown ... after a while that complaint disappeared , with a few exiting games being played over a short period of time, it's ok that you disagree with college f-ball being able to take advantage of the same model that worked in college b-ball AND THE NFL(REVENUE SHARING ONLY CHANGES FREE AGENCY ,,, which didn't exist when they implemented the formula... And actually there is a form of revenue sharing in col. f/b ... road / bowl games... although it doesn't trickle down much ....BIG BOWLS LIKE BIG CONFERENCES .. we are fixin' to start going round in circles here so I am unilaterally calling for mutual disarmament..lol.. peace ,,, talk to you soon I hope,,,, it's nice to have somebody on the opposite side that understands the English language

"The CBS network paid $4.65 million a year for the right to broadcast NFL games through the 1962 and '63 seasons. Under the revenue-sharing plan, that meant that each NFL team would begin the season with $332,000 in the bank. Since $332,000 was more than most teams' payrolls at the time, that meant that all NFL franchises were virtually guaranteed profitability"

Also, remember that small college programs wouldn't exist if the NFL ran it:

"In 1927, hoping to curb its own rampant instability, the NFL made a fateful decision to weed out its financial weaklings, restricting league membership to just twelve relatively prosperous teams. "

Of course that's all that bothered me, I'm a pretty easy going guy most of the time. ;)

I just hate the fact they became florida, thus all my natural Georgia hatred towards florida now flows to them instead. Irrational, but true none the less.

Their marching band is awesomesauce though.

when did every other type (besides tv ) of revenue sharing( memorabilia, clothing) start?... the teams owned the rights to their logo's until the 80's I believe... I DO STAND (PARTIALLY)CORRECTED, although I new(know) about tv money...as far as the nfl weeding out the smaller franchises , yep it was a long list of "single a" baseball sized towns that got weeded out .. then in the merger took in "triple a" sized towns ..(denver , kc...buffalo...)plus other smaller major league sized towns ,, but you are correct ,,,the tv contract made the NFL stronger , by leaps and bounds ... sorry for any typo's I am working with a library com. that is currently having a seizure

nothing wrong with being impressed by the buckeyes being a good team

Really, there are way too many FBS schools. Perhaps they should make the requirement 30,000 butts in seats in order to play for the title. That would definitely improve the TV ratings.

I could support sending each conference winner to a playoff in that scenario.

it wouldn't bother me to see teams like navy , army go 1aa(whatever they call it,,,,,fcs?)you could get the d-1 roll call down to 80-90 easy,,,but then let everybody's conference get a spot
