blame the refs on the seahawks not having one!

I blame Jerramey Stevens more than the refs (though those calls were atrocious). Three of his four drops would have been first downs. Still can't figure out how he ended up married to Hope Solo.

He definitely grabbed him around the neck though. Whether or not he meant to do it is irrelevant because it's still not legal. Even on the slow motion replay, he still grabbed him around the neck. That's basically the same kind of play that knocked Manning out for 2 years.

isn't the rule hits above the shoulder?

they both know what it feels like to have balls go through their hands? who knows. thanks for a nice mental image though. mmmm hope

Well, you helped that cause by allowing the Saints to win. Some bad calls in that game though. It was close. If that game was in SF I think they take it.

I'm not one to whine about officials losing the game for us (we should not be in a position to let them IMO) but they sure as hell didn't help.

That's how I feel about Seattle's SB, contrary to most fans around here.

I've seen that Brooks hit several times, and I can't see how all the 'experts' on both NFL Network and ESPN call that a penality. It was clearly across the top portion of the shoulder pads. I can see how the refs at full speed missed it with how his head snapped, but no way on replay can anyone say that was a hit to the head or throat. And I say that detesting the 49'ers. It looked clean and legal to me on the replays.

Honestly that call could be reversed with replay, but live? I expect officials to call that 9 out of 10 times. He got hit hard near his head, which is a big no no.

Hell if your just running towards the QB and slightly push him right after the throw its a 15 yard penalty.

^ crowd reactions play a part in those flags being thrown too. the minute you hear the collective gasps and see the head snap, you're tossing a flag. i wanna see replays involved with those flags going forward. 15 yards and a set of first down is a huge momentum shifter and its not the first time it's happen this year

The only thing that made me feel better about that call is for once (even if just for a second) someone had a longer neck than Payton Manning..

Your neck is above your shoulder lol. You can't wrap a quarterback around the neck or the head but I think the play looked a lot worse than it really was. Looked like he got clotheslined

I would have just been happy with consistent calling... Same game, side by side... Only difference is my QB hangs on to the ball.
