Lol I don't personally like it. But I'm pretty sure football is a bigger sport the world over than 'american football'

Apparently not here on MFK. Currently there are three active "REAL" football threads totaling over 30,000 veiws and 2000 posts. Then there are the few soccer threads that end up having more talk about real football then soccer.:screwy:

All that shows is that more Americans frequent this site than other nations. If you like though I can give you some figures... Biggest American football event? Superbowl right? Know how many people watched the 2012 Superbowl final? An estimated 110-120 million people. Thats alot right? Last football world cup... 2010. 619 million! And thats only people sat at home watching on tv. Add all the bars and the clubs etc. and the figure rose to almost 1 billion!!! American football is very popular and important in the US and I'm not belittling that. BUT there is no way it is as popular as football the world over. Quick question, slightly off topic... Why is the world series called the world series? Unless im way off its a bit of a misnomer. Oh and just to add fuel to the fire, cricket is more popular than baseball LOL

Also. The most 'valuable' football team is worth more and has higher revenue than the most 'valuable' american football team.

stabbed? you mean beheaded, specially if you are a ref and make the wrong call. franchise quarter back, 50 to 70 mil over the life of the contract. not counting endorsements or incentives.
