My son's league has to balance out the teams more. Our record was 1-9 this season. In my defense(I'm the head coach), its not fun to see a team made up of second graders and first graders play against third graders.

Last name was 3-2, with my son scoring all of our two goals. In total, we scored 6 goals in 10 games and unfortunately my son was responsible for 4 of them...

Aww that's a shame :/ What league is he playing in? In the lowest two leagues it's often really difficult.

U8. I have 4 six year olds and additional 2 players that never played soccer before. That 6 out of 10 players. We play 7 vs 7 and every one must play. 4 10 minute periods.

That happened to us last year, some of the opponents were 3 years older than our youngest players.

Why do you play four quarters and not the traditional two halves?

It is two halves but at mid point a water break and mandatory substitution is made. So we basically play two halves of twenty minutes. Everyone must sit one quarter out if someone had not played at least half.

Although we are trying to turn things round at the moment I don't see city having an problem with us this weekend, unfortunately I can still see us going down this year.

It was a strange game and we played very well in the first half and the second half reverted back to hoof ball again. Larson was lucky to stay on the pitch too.
I'm sure you's will do fine once you sort your away form out.
