I got termites swarming out of my floor furnace *sigh* does anyone know if this could be a seasonal thing? It's a hot day today, and I really don't want pesticides in my furnace :/

Not sure since you live in a different climate than I do and the termites in your area might not be the same as those here.It sounds like you have an active colony in the ground and very close to the structure of your house.Do you have a basement or a crawl space under your house that you can inspect?

yeah, probably a huge under ground colony, there is a big tree right in the corner of the house. There is a crawl space, but Im not going under there. It's funny they're not really a nuisance now. I've been watching them the past hr. They pop up out of the furnace, b line to the door, and leave. I picked a few off for my fish :)

Get your crawl on rocky lol ;):D

I'm not sure why they are in your furnace but they are probably doing some damage to your subfloor. That tree is probably not a factor unless it is dead.

Heey Evz!! :D
For a house I own I woulda already been under there. You know about the trouble I've had with the owner, I hope when I close the door to move, the house crumbles into itself.

Maybe, it would explain why they've already replaced half the floor, I guessed water damage, but it could've been termites.
