You seem to be content with the current car and it is not having issues one after the other so I suggest you hold onto it a while longer before making a new or newer car move.

This is my plan, but since the car is old I'm trying to draw my line in the sand as to when to pull the plug. 1 or 2 sub $500 repairs a year that can be addressed at my convenience are no big deal and a single $1,500 repair is fine but you never know if that big repair will be followed bya string of small ones. If I do get hit with a large repair do I fix it and dump it or with that amount of money invested should I view myself committed to keeping the car and getting money's worth. Resale value is a moot point at this age so I just need to get some figures and establish a course of action for each scenario but at this time I'm having trouble drawing that line in the sand.

Trade it in while its still running well and upgrade to a spanking new AWD Charger :)

This might be my biggest hang up. Im an electrician so I never know where I'm going to work, average round trip commute is 70 miles but my current is 120 miles and I haven't found a vehicle that excites me that's efficient. I took my wife's jku and it cost an extra $15 in gas for 2 days.

Well, I officially donated almost my entire fish stock to a nearby middle school where I know they'll be taken care of. Glad to do this before I leave for college so I know they'll be taken care of.
