if you use prime, and have tanks 55g or bigger should check it out, allot more cost effective, 2.2lb bottle cost around 60 bucks and treats up to 200,000G where a bottle of prime large size treats up to 20,000
for 14 bucks or so. and its the same stuff same make SeaChem.
It seems to be pretty popular here on MFK but I have never used Prime either. All I have used and stuck with over the years is API Tapwater Conditioner.
Hello; Within the last few weeks I bought a 1Kg (2.2 pound) bottle of Safe for $31.99. On the label it is supposed to treat 200,000 gallons. I bought it at an area fish shop so likely paid a bit more. I ordered the Safe as it is the dry powder form and is supposed to have a long shelf life if sealed properly. The liquid form Prime is the same thing but is reported to have a limited shelf life of arounfd a year.
I would put that to evaporation? meaning the dosage is no longer exact. safe or prime is a salt, hydrosulfitie salt. I may be wrong but think a twinky shelf life has nothing on safe or prime.
