Hmm that's weird. Normally its something like the hose, or just some trapped air that will come out if you give the can a good rock back & forth or just unplug & plug it in a few times to get it out. I would say check that the seal on the lid is fully sealed but if it weren't I'm sure you'd know by water running down.
Yep,I've had it off and on,drained and refilled and checked everything a few times already yet it is still doing the same thing.I had to leave it be for a while as the noise and bubbling was getting to me as well as holding me up from doing other things I need to take care of today.I'll check back on it later.

I'm beginning to do so too! I've been going round and round off an on with the damned thing all day.
Man junk that thing and get a 2262 or a few ac110s. Ac's would be cheaper, easier to clean and more room for bio

I have had the same issue with my magnum 350 canister. It could be a tiny leak somewhere along in in hose to the canister. This a big part of why I only have a canister because I can't squeeze anything else into the space I have. HOBs and sponges are so much easier to deal with and spill less water on the floor.

Send them to me lol. I love my Fx's. I have three of them right now and wouldn't trade them for anything ;)
Hah! I wish there was less distance between us so I could bring it by and have you check it out.
J jaws7777 'll look into a 2262.I have replaced my FX with a beat up Aquaclear 110 for the time being.

The only canister I will use is XP's. I've never had a 2262, but I'm at the point now where if it's not a sump or ac hob I don't want it.

I'm always surprised at the FX hate. That's all I've used for years with zero problems lol. I've got one FX5 that's been running nonstop for a decade.

Luck of the draw I guess

I am also of the opinion that sumps are best for big tanks
I have them on both of my biggest tanks but I've always used another type of filter as an aid since I have numerous large growing fish.
Is this the XP you were referring to?
