By the way, it appears I was mistaken somewhat when I said that the ICE officers had guns drawn. Guns were not drawn until the last second when shots were actually fired.

Seen from the officers point of view, the car was actually hitting him, although not very hard; but it was pushing him back and would have run him down had he tripped.

The whole thing happens in a second. With that much time to think I probably would’ve done exactly the same thing.

Idiots were claiming the officer should have “jumped out of the way.”

Essentially, he was able to get out of the way, but anyone who has ever tried to jump in any manner while standing on a frozen street, well let’s just say the results are unlikely to be positive.
Hello; A new video has emerged. has sound. I think it may be the shooting officers. You can hear him grunt when the SUV hits him.

In a different video you can see a slight limp as he walks toward the wrecked Honda. I agree there are plenty of "idiot" narratives going around. Jump out of the way, shoot the tires, cops only allowed to fire one shot then reevaluate, three shots are not protocol and likely many more.

The driver had the window down and was talking to one of the officers. Gotta figure she heard the orders to GET OUT OF THE CAR shouted at least twice. At that moment the situation changed. Here I start guessing. Seems the two women had been somehow tracking the locations of the ICE teams much of the day. More than the one time with the shooting. They had blocked the ICE vehicles slowing them down which is a felony is my understanding.

At the fateful scene the Honda had apparently been in place for several minutes parked so as to block the road. Just before the shots the other woman (the wife) was outside the Honda taunting an officer. Another guess is the other officers could hear the exchange. Regardless the mood changed as the driver was ordered to get out of the car. An officer was at the window with one arm inside apparently trying to open the door or some such. Then the driver triggered the rest by trying to drive away instead of doing as ordered.

Here is where my internet lawyer knowledge i not reliable. If I drive a getaway car and stay outside while a buddy robs a liquor store and someone gets killed, I am guilty of murder for being an active part of the crime. I do not think it matters if the store clerk or an off-duty cop did the shooting. That said someone must have been telling the two women where to drive to so as to block the road. Will that be a part of the crime?

Sorry for all the words.

Wow this is way too much verbiage for me to keep up with. The art of brevity is something to master.

People here are trying to argue complete cases before any objection was made to the original propositions.

That being said, today I’m in the welding shop, making good use of the new bench I built for my big vise, holding a steel frame which held the plastic gas tank in my plastic car…

These were once the frames from my blueprint rack from back in the days when engineers made blueprints. This steel actually dates to the late 1960s.

I saw them, then they are joined forever in welded bliss.

Here’s the back, set up with the rusty frame and the plastic tank. Now I have to make the front legs, just like I did the back ones.

Hello; I used to do such things. Restored a 1963 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass some years ago. I still do work on my truck & car. Been thinking about a project car or truck not have not pulled the trigger. I have welders, torches, body tools, paint guns and such.

I use the new vise to knock the rust off this old tank frame with a wire cup.

I hit it with a spray on rust converter

When the welding is done I’ll paint it and touch up the gray painted frames.

Nice spinners. That Fire truck red pops!
Hello; Those were the hardest parts to find. I am sure trim and chrome would have been equally hard but the car was intact with all the trim and glass when I bought it. I wound up with five salvage yard engines for parts. The 215 aluminum V8 had an alloy which eroded from the old coolant. May have been the coolant more than the aluminum but some heads were bad.
I went with a base coat -clear coat and hardener. Did a lot of buffing.
Started out as red body with a white top. While doing engine-transmision work I parked it outside with a cover. The wind scuffed up the paint so I had to repaint.

Hello; When I get a load of firewood, I do not stack above the bed side. I wonder how far back we would need to follow if the load was driven on the highway? Has to be on the bump stops.

Police department uses AI to write reports, only to have it claim one of the officers was turned into a frog
Hello; I am among those who seriously question the use of Ai. There were the Ai generated historical images a while back where the Ai refused to use Caucasian images in events where the people were known to be Caucasian (white). Clear evidence the Ai is not intelligent but a reflection of those who program the computer chips.

Yet for some reason people want desperately want to incorporate Ai and other computer programs into our lives. The link tells that an Ai decided an officer was turned into a frog. time to unplug that machine.
