and how did the rock fall?...I never knew them to be very active diggers.

Couldn't tell ya. There's about 60 pounds of rock in the tank but none of it was unstable to my knowledge. Just came home and he wasn't there. I always tap on the glass when I get home and everyone comes out of hiding. He didn't. I got to lookin for him and saw a flash of orange in the rocks. Started moving rocks around and he was in my hands, struggling to get free. He looked bad. All chewed up, missing scales on both sides. I thought maybe I could save him if I could medicate him. Took his last breath in my hands while I stood there, helpless. It was horrible. I know exactly how Gramz feels. I'm sure many of us do. Sucks that it has to go down like that. :(

Thanks Kell.
I slept a couple hours but still so drowsy. was sick all week and spent every night in the recliner so I could breath.
at least I got in the real bed this morning. but there's def gonna be some napping goin on today.
I'll make Eddie's day & go over to aquaria n post about Bubba there.

if rocks fell on him, at least I'd know why he died. this was so sudden & not one physical clue. he just started dying. he acted & was eating like his normal self a few hours earlier- bobbing his head above water taking food from my hand & the whole shebang. totally strong & vibrant.
just so odd.

matter of fact, just move it over to general aquaria the way it's going
