Since you're following the story still, was there a significance for the 19 stabs in stabby stab stab?
Ps, kids were murders long before the softer approach to discipline. Also, unless you have a true educated stubborn kid, you can still get away with physical discipline. If you had been physically disciplining from the start they'd be too intimidated to speak up to the authorities. IMO, the parents are the ones who have gone soft

Not as far as I know about the 19 stabs, what I gathered was one of them fervently believed that if they didn't do it slender man would come and slaughter both of their families and convinced the other of the same. The pic of one of them dressed up as Joker from batman is really creepy haha
All it takes is a kid to say something to another kid in school about it, and that kid to tell the teacher, his own parents, or the teacher over hearing it. Even in my middle school a parent got in trouble through this situation and they didn't even hurt the kid, only slapped him a few times for beating up his sister.
No derp about children murdering before the loosened discipline though haha. The amount of kids doing this though seems to be on the rise. I used to hunt with some friends from school, I'd eat whatever we got because that's how I was taught. If your not gonna eat it don't kill it. I wouldn't. Some of the other kids though.... They'd kill every fish they'd catch, one decapitated a snapping turtle for no reason with a shovel, one killed cats etc... What's more disturbing is hearing that they STILL do this at over 20.
Truth is the world, starting with america it seems, is slowly becoming desensitized to violence to the point kids think its okay to pull this sort of ****. The "stabby stab stab" kids showed no remorse according to police. Not a tear. Kids genuinely frighten me nowadays lol if children of the corn were to ever actually happen it would be in america and nobody would be that surprised.
Nowadays it is all about feelings and emotions, lol. Kids don't have a healthy fear of their parents. When I was younger, my dad would pull out the belt and slap it across the bed (don't remember him ever using it on me), but the sound of it coming off was enough for me to CHECK MYSELF...
Little brats today threaten to call child protective services if they get yelled at...the parents back off...and then the kids run rampant...unchecked
Right my dad would do the same thing except snap the belt against itself. He never actually hit me with it but threatened it plenty, and he'd describe how his father would beat him and his bros bloody if they messed up too hard.
Ugh its such a recipe for disaster. And people wonder why things like the slender man stabbing and things like it happen.
No fear of authority + dissensitized to violence= the next generation is SCREWED. We should call it generation F'd.
