Yep,totally uncalled for...Shame about the Olive Garden and I'm guessing the explosion was due to a gas leak.My wife loves OG,when we go out to eat that is always her first choice and they are always crowded and I don't like having to wait to get a table lol.

I like OG too, get the same thing every time, spaghetti and meatballs. Boring aren't I :/

Haha and I always get the chicken Marsala and calamari as an appetizer sometimes.

Actually now that I think about it, we recently had a tragedy at our local OG too, some lady was ran over and killed right in front of the place, right in front of her husband
:(

Where in Cali are you? I remember a few months ago an elderly man with his wife in the car, lost control in a parking lot (pressed gas instead of brake) and killed a woman who was waiting with her family outside the restaurant. It could have been an ice cream shop...either way, somewhere in Cali.

This happened in Buena Park, Im in Long Beach. I bet that's it, I think it was an elderly man. That is it.

YES...it was an ice cream parlor/restaurant right outside of Knotts Berry Farm. The old man and his wife had no idea what was going on. Pretty sad, tragic. They shouldn't have been driving to begin with...and I don't think any charges were levied...just sad for the victim's family. Senseless and no one to blame (Except maybe the DMV for issuing them licenses)... Like the school shooters who pull the gun on themselves and don't let the victim's families get some sort of closure or justice in court. Cowards they are...the shooters, not the old couple (they were just too old to drive). Regardless, both senseless losses of life.

The woman that was killed was around 70. I believe she had her grandchildren with her and possibly her own adult children. There were other injuries as the old man plowed thru metal railing separating the parking lot from the waiting area outside the place... but she was pinned at the waist by the car...too many internal injuries.

Do you remember a few years back when another elderly person pressed the gas instead of the brakes and plowed down and killed several people at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market. I've actually seen Public Service Announcements on taking the keys away from older folks if you think that they may no longer be capable of driving safely. Just like you would with someone who has had too many drinks. If Google and DARPA get their automated cars working well, we may no longer need to worry about driving in the next 10-15 yrs. Sooner even, I know google was recently testing some prototypes up north just a few weeks ago. DARPA just wants tanks and drone like rescue vehicles to grab wounded soldiers and bring them back to safety...Terminator stuff...lol
