Lol yeah I love me some chicken but I don't think I'll be sampling any of their feet.

there's nothing better than home grown fertilized eggs. delicious.
they are actually good for your cholesterol too. opposite of sterile mass produced eggs.

That's good to know as I can easily polish off one dozen in a day.

Oh no! I was only referring to your mention of them being good for your cholesterol....

some health food stores and livestock feed stores sell home grown local eggs, fertilized. a bit pricey- but delicious thicker dark yolks.

Damn,12 inch ATF...how much did you get for that?

well, it's nothing extravagant compared to what I've seen from you, but they were nice for a po valley boy like me

Good stuff, and you say keeping chickens is less work?...With as much eggs as I consume I might have to look into that.

if you can house a dozen or so where you live I'd say go for it. only thing is, you need like 2 roosters for every 10 or so hens. and crowing might be an issue depending on where you live. if you only have a small handful, you'll be eating too fast and not getting eggs fast enough. some lay one egg everyday. some every other or few days. if you're going thru a dozen a day like you say, then you'll need as many hens.

Can only have them here if you can either house them at least 150 feet from all houses or get written permission from each neighbor.
