My life style, work schedule is not fair for a dog. Therefore I keep fish.

Living without a dog would be depressing to me. any kind of dog is better than none.

OMGosh. just saw Larry the cable guy on tv, walking around a dog show ring (as a Handler) with a little Yorkie named "Tart" at the end of his leash.
he was wearing his usual garb & all the other handlers all dressed up.

+1 once you've had a dog and got into a routine its hard to live without one

I have had phases of life where I parted with every other kind of pets, hobbies etc., but haven't been without a dog in the house for over 50 yrs.

I have had phases of life where I parted with every other kind of pets, hobbies etc., but haven't been without a dog in the house for over 50 yrs.

I tried life without a dog when i lost my best mate last year i lasted three months and ended up with another puppy

I don't even know how I would get over a few months of not having a dog, let alone a long time.

Once I get back to the states after being in Korea, me and my wife are planning on getting a dog. I have had many in the past growing up, and losing my best friend whom I raised from a pup killed me. But I think it's time I get another companion.
